Navigating Through A Network

When turning on my computer device and using my modem to access the internet it has a Dynamic IP address rather than a static. Using my computer, I can send packets of information using that assigned Dynamic IP to the top-level Domain Name. The DNS servers will then communicate back or echo the packets of data that I command.

When pinging the three chosen top-level domain each were unique within their global positioning. Google in the United States, the others Germany and Japan.  Google was the fastest amongst all the tests for both tracing and pinging the IP address.  I believe that because of the distance of the various respective destinations of the IP address. Some took longer than others. As far as packet loss or errors, that can be a multitude of things one being how the DNS at the various locations is setup and constantly being used via other IP addresses globally. Google, being an enormous domain, had several packet times out comparatively to the other two domains. Although the foreign domains were greater in distance than google, the magnitude of their level of popularity differs.

Here a glimpse of result of pinging.

Google Ping

Germany URL Domain Ping

Japan URL Domain Ping
